Character Profile: Solstice (DREAM)

Basic Stats

Sex: Female

Gender Expression: All woman. Well, young woman.

Pronouns: She/Hers/Her

Age: 18

Race/Ethnicity/Culture: Solstice Everblossom is a fairy, and was born in the Fairylands of the English forest. She is black, and dark-skinned. 

Her culture is that of the fae, which is similar to the British empire during the Renaissance - albeit with winged creatures and magical powers, mischief being a virtue and sexuality and fun being high on the list of priorities.

Height: 5′2

Body type: Slender and Fit

Appearance: Solstice has hot pink eyes and a dark complexion. Her light-colored freckles look like stars. Her hair, clothes, and wings differ in appearance depending on which seasonal magic she is using - the default of which (spring) currently has her with lime green microbraids, a flowery dress, and rainbow butterfly wings.

Tattoos/Piercings: N/A

Relationships

Family: Solstice Everblossom isn’t the princess of the fae, but she is just as important. She was born from a long line of fairy warriors, and upholds the honor of her ancestors quite passionately.

Though the ‘family’ aspect in fae culture is quite different than humans and other magical peoples, she does love her mother and father - from afar.

Friends: Solstice hasn’t made many friends at all since being sucked away in Halcyon. She’s stuck to herself, trying different ways of escape - all of which have failed miserably.

Sexuality

Orientation: Pansexual

Attraction: Solstice has found members of every gender attractive, so it isn’t a gendered thing for her. What she is really attracted to is the desire to help others - especially those that cannot possibly help one in return.

Skills: Solstice has seasonal powers. Spring is healing and flowers, Summer is high heat, fire and eventually lava, Autumn is winds and leaves, and winter is invisibility (fog), and freezing.

Hobbies: Solstice loves flying around and playing tricks on people. Her favorite thing to do is be invisible, breaking things, and then popping out right into her victim’s face to give them a good scare.

Personality and Character

Solstice is mischievous and playful, but she is kind. She may talk a lot of game, but her fuse is much longer than she would like to admit. It isn’t as though she’s afraid of fighting, however - on the contrary; she’s afraid of destroying people. 

Fae power is unmatched in the realm of magic. And because of this, she chooses to hold back.

Goals/Dreams/Aspirations: The Great Fairy of Seasons has one ultimate goal: To reverse climate change. Of course, she cannot do a thing about it while she’s stuck in Halcyon.

Beliefs: Solstice has met a few of the gods, she just doesn’t worship them. She flocks toward innocence and mischievousness equally. 

Fears: Solstice is terrified of being stuck, in both a literal and metaphorical sense. Fairies pride themselves on being able to go anywhere and do anything.

Insecurities: The Fairy of Seasons is insecure about one thing: her ability to reach her ultimate goal - especially after the damage that accumulated within the eight years she’s been locked away.
